Rare malachite jewelry or collection box simulating a book.

The top cover serves as a flap. Very beautiful marquetry decoration with angular shapes in the center, framed by a gilded metal fillet and square malachite sections on the border.

The edges and spine serve as a frame for the box. The interior border is gilded copper. The edges are also adorned with gilded fillets.

Damage and missing parts on the two corners of the bottom cover. The velvet lining at the bottom is missing.

Dimensions: 28 x 19.5 cm. Height: 3.8 cm.
