Antique ciborium in solid silver and vermeil.
Sacred cup intended to preserve the Hosts during the Eucharistic Celebration.
The domed lid in plain vermeil decorated with a row of pearls on the edge and a cross at the top.
The Cup in plain silver gilt, also inside.
The baluster-shaped barrel is decorated with chiseled leaves.
The round base with chiseled and stamped foliage decoration, a row of pearls on the lower edge.
The Chalice is assembled from 3 elements and it has several hallmarks, notably "the rooster" in oval of the departments and the Minerva 1st title on the base.
Illegible goldsmith's mark.
Total height: 20.5 cm. Total weight: 268 g.
Good condition, some slight wear to the vermeil and some small dents from normal use.
