An old box for a game of jacquet, trictrac, or backgammon.

It is made entirely of solid rosewood.

The interior is decorated with bone and ebony wood inlays.

On the back, a 64-square chessboard, with light wood inlays.

Closed box: 58 x 33.5 cm. Height: 14 cm.

Open box: 58 x 67 cm.

Game boxes of this quality are very rare.

It is in good condition for its age, with small, insignificant cracks and normal, slight signs of age.

Supplied with high-quality rosewood tokens with bone inlay, and blackened exotic wood for the others. (Original tokens are incomplete: 10 + 8). Also included is a horn and leather cup.
