Old round candy jar with lid in fine earthenware with polychrome enamel decoration from the Jules Vieillard & Cie factory in Bordeaux.

The lid features a decoration of birds and bamboo branches on a crackle background.

The body is adorned with a geometric frieze of oriental inspiration. 

Signature: JVB under the base in blue.

Diameter: 17.5 cm. At the neck: 13.8 cm.

Very beautiful polychrome decoration with intense colors.

Good condition, except for a shock on the belly of the base with a star-shaped chip. (photo).
