Beautiful high-quality antique box.

The lid is decorated with rosewood frieze, brass stringing and a central porcelain medallion painted with polychrome flowers, gilded border, on a blue ground. Framed with gilt bronze mouldings.

The interior in mottled maple veneer is fitted with 6 compartments.

The hinges and lock plates are chased brass.

The lock escutcheon is missing. "house condition" with wear and signs of age.
