Antique Russian Processional Mother of Pearl Cross 19th Century Orthodox Crucifix Christ

Rare processional cross made of mother-of-pearl plaques in appliqués.

The engraved and cut-out decoration depicts Christ on the Cross in the center, surmounted by the Father and the Holy Spirit. Around it are various Saints.

Beneath Christ, an openwork cross may hold a hiding place for a relic.

On the back, engraved decoration of Chalice, Christ, Cross, and others.

The cross is in good condition for its age, with slight wear consistent with age or small cracks visible in the photos. There is a small chip in the mother-of-pearl on the left side of the skull.
