Old solid silver pillbox with guilloché enamel.
Minerve 1st grade hallmark and illegible goldsmith's mark.
The lid is guilloché silver and enameled in a violet color at its center, enhanced with a plain white enameled circle and a frieze of a woman in bust (The Marquise de Sévigné?) adorned with garlands of flowers and lilies. The edge is decorated with laurel leaves. The interior is plain vermeil.
The base in silver and vermeil is plain with a decoration on the edge of a broken stick frieze.
Diameter: 6.5 cm. Height: 1.8 cm. Weight: 56 g.
